Set workflow-level reviewer reminders
You can configure reminder emails that go out to reviewers who haven't responded yet at the workflow level. This article covers setting up reviewer reminders.
Where to find it
In the workflow builder, click the Reminders button next to the workflow name/status area. This opens a dialog that applies to every stage in the template and sends only to reviewers who haven't decided yet — it isn't per-stage like the notification toggles covered in Configure stage notifications.
The three reminder rules
Each rule is an independent toggle plus a number and unit:
- Remind after activation — sends every N hours/days after a stage activates, to reviewers who still haven't decided.
- Before due date — sends N days/hours before the stage's due date.
- When overdue — sends every N hours/days once a stage is past due, continuing until a decision is made.
Toggle a rule off to disable it entirely — disabled rules are not sent.
Saving
- Adjust the toggles, numbers, and units as needed.
- Click Save in the dialog footer to apply the reminders to the workflow. This marks the template as having unsaved changes, so remember to Save draft or Publish the workflow afterward to persist it.
Reminders defined here only fire for stages that actually have a due date or an active state to measure from — a stage with No due date set won't have a "before due date" reminder to send.
