What guest reviewers can and cannot do
Guest reviewers who access a proof via a share link have a more limited set of actions available than workspace members. This article covers what's in and out of scope for guests.
A guest reviewer is someone who opens a shared proof link without logging into an Edoro account. What they can do depends on the permission they were given and the link's current settings.
What they can do
- Open the proof and view the current version.
- If given Can comment, add comments and annotations.
- If given Can approve, approve or reject — the actual decision actions.
- Forward the link to someone else by entering their email, if the asset owner has turned on "Allow sharing forward".
What they can't do
- See any other asset in the project or workspace beyond the ones they were specifically invited to.
- Change any access, permission, workflow, or link settings.
- Grant a forwarded invite different permissions than the one they were given themselves.
- Access the asset at all if the link's access level has since been changed away from what they were invited under, or if a password or expiry now blocks them.
Guest reviewers are tracked the same way as any other invitee for permission purposes (Can approve / Can comment) — they're just reaching the asset through the emailed token link rather than a workspace login.
