Use role presets: Blank, Reviewer, Team Member, Admin
Edoro ships four role presets -- Blank, Reviewer, Team Member, and Admin -- as starting points for common access levels. This article covers what each preset includes.
Applying a preset
Presets are the row of buttons at the top of the role editor, opened from New Role or Permissions on an existing custom role (see Create a custom role and set permissions). Clicking one replaces every permission selection in the form with that preset's set. You can switch presets as many times as you like before saving, and adjust individual permissions afterward if a preset is close but not exact — applying a preset does not lock the form to it.
What each preset grants
- Blank — nothing granted. Every permission starts off; build the role up from scratch.
- Reviewer — review actions only: adding comments, resolving comments, nudging members, and bringing forth comments, plus sharing assets. No project, workflow, board, member, or admin-console access.
- Team Member — day-to-day production access: adding and managing projects; uploading, downloading, managing, renaming, and sharing assets; the same review actions as Reviewer; applying and managing workflows; adding and managing boards and tasks; managing folders; adding and managing tags. No delete permissions anywhere, and no access to Members, Groups, Roles, Statuses, Schema, Mail Settings, Workspace settings, AI usage, or the audit log.
- Admin — every permission across every category, including all delete actions and the admin-console-only categories (Members, Groups, Roles, Statuses, Schema, Mail Settings, Workspace, AI Usage, Audit, and the Pages permissions for Timeline and VR Dashboard).
A preset only seeds the initial selection — the role isn't tied to it afterward. Granting or revoking individual permissions once a preset is applied is expected, and doesn't need to be undone or reset first.
