What search doesn't cover yet (comments aren't searchable)
Global search covers a lot of ground, but it's worth knowing what it doesn't reach so you know when to look elsewhere.
Comments aren't searchable
Proof comments — the feedback and markup left on assets during review — aren't indexed by search. If you're trying to find a specific piece of feedback, searching for words from the comment text won't surface it. You'll need to open the asset and check its comment thread directly.
What search does cover
To be clear about the boundary, global search does match on:
- Project name, description, and tags
- Asset title, file name, content type, uploader name, workflow status, and tags
- Folder names
- Board titles
- Task titles, descriptions, and checklist item titles
- Checklist item titles
- Tag names
Other things to know
- Search is always scoped to your current workspace — there's no option to search across other workspaces you belong to.
- There's no date-range filter for narrowing results to a specific time period.
- Besides the asset type chips (see Filtering search results by asset type or workflow status), there are no additional filter controls on the search results page.
If what you're looking for lives in a comment, or falls outside the list above, searching within the relevant project or asset directly is currently the more reliable route.
