Using the Cmd/Ctrl+K quick-search shortcut
You can open quick search from anywhere in Edoro using the Cmd/Ctrl+K keyboard shortcut, without needing to click into the search bar first.
Opening quick search
- Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) from anywhere in the app.
- The search bar is focused automatically, with any existing text selected so you can immediately type a new query.
- Type at least 2 characters — results start appearing in a dropdown a moment after you stop typing.
Working with the results dropdown
- Results are grouped by type (Projects, Folders, Assets, Boards, Tasks, Checklist Items). Click a row to jump straight to it.
- Press Enter, or click Search all results for "..." at the bottom of the dropdown, to open the full Search results page instead.
- Press Escape, or click elsewhere on the page, to close the dropdown without navigating anywhere.
- Clicking the × button next to the search bar clears your query.
Notes
- Typing fewer than 2 characters won't trigger a search — the dropdown stays closed until you have at least 2 characters in the box.
- The shortcut works globally, so you don't need to be on any particular page to use it.
