Annotate a live webpage proof (webproof)
Webproofs let reviewers comment directly on a live, interactive webpage rather than a static capture. This article covers annotating a webproof.
Adding a comment on a webproof
- Open the webproof and navigate to the part of the page you want to comment on — scrolling and interacting with the live page as a visitor would.
- Add your comment from the Comments tab as usual. The comment is anchored to that spot on the page, so reviewers looking at it later land in the right place even if they were scrolled elsewhere.
- Send the comment.
Reviewing webproof comments
Comments on a webproof appear in the same comment feed as any other proof, with replies, resolving, mentions, attachments, and audio all working the same way described elsewhere in this section.
Exporting
When a webproof (or an HTML/MFE asset) is exported as a commented PDF or archive report, Edoro captures a screenshot of the live page for each commented view so the comments have a visual reference — see the downloads and exports section for details on generating those exports.
