Setting the default workflow template for new assets in a project
You can set a default workflow template at the project level so new assets uploaded to it automatically start that workflow. This is a project-level default, not a workflow the project itself runs through — workflows always operate on individual assets, and this setting simply saves you from picking a workflow by hand every time you upload a proof into this project.
Setting the default
- When creating a project, use the Default proof workflow field (optional).
- On an existing project, open the ··· menu on its card, choose Edit, and change Default proof workflow there (requires the Apply workflow permission). Choose No default to clear it.
Whichever template you pick, it's shown in the project header's info strip once set.
How it's used
The default only applies to files uploaded into the project and marked as Proof (see Uploading a new file or working asset to a project) — working files are unaffected. It's a starting point, not a lock-in: any individual asset can still be attached to a different workflow, or have its workflow changed later. See Attach a workflow template to an asset for how that works asset-by-asset.
