Applying a project details schema to a project
A project details schema lets you attach structured custom fields to a project, defined once at the workspace level. This article covers applying a schema to a specific project.
Schemas themselves are built at the workspace level — see Build a custom project details schema — before they can be applied here.
Applying or changing a schema
- Open the project and, in the header, click the schema chip (shows + Schema if none is applied yet, or the current schema's name otherwise). This is available to project owners only.
- Pick a schema from the list, or No schema to remove it. Each option shows how many fields it defines.
- Once applied, the schema's fields appear as pills below the header.
You can also choose a schema when creating the project, or change it later from the Edit dialog on the project card (Project Schema field — requires the Add schema permission).
Filling in the fields
If a schema is applied but its fields are still empty, a banner appears under the header prompting you to Fill now. Click any filled-in field pill to edit its value directly.
