Task Completion Rate
The Task Completion Rate card on the VR Dashboard tracks the share of tasks completed on time across your boards. This article covers how to read the card and what it means for your team.
This is a read-only metric tile — it reflects your task boards automatically, nothing to enable.
What it measures
Task Completion Rate is the percentage of tasks with a due date, from the trailing several months of activity, that were completed on or before that due date. Tasks are grouped into on-time, late (completed after the due date), and overdue (still incomplete past the due date).
How to read it
- The headline number is the on-time completion percentage.
- A warn marker appears once the rate drops below 85%, and critical below 70%.
- The breakdown underneath shows the raw counts of on-time, late, and overdue tasks so you can see which is driving the percentage.
- The card needs at least 10 tasks with due dates before it shows a value.
Why it matters
A declining rate is an early warning of team capacity issues or scope creep, usually showing up here before it surfaces as missed project deadlines in Project Delivery Rate.
