Set a performance baseline for comparisons

You can set a performance baseline so dashboard cards show change relative to a reference period. This article covers setting and updating a baseline.

A baseline is a fixed, one-time reference point — typically your averages from before adopting edoro — rather than a rolling comparison period. Once it's set, relevant cards show a "vs. baseline" delta alongside their current value.

Setting your baseline

  1. On the VR Dashboard, click Baseline at the top of the page. If you haven't set one yet, a banner also invites you to do this directly.
  2. Fill in whichever fields you have numbers for — every field is optional, and you can leave any of them blank:
    • Review Performance: review cycle (days), proof iterations, reviewer response (hours), monthly approvals.
    • Content Orchestration: brief-to-approval (days), on-time delivery (%), monthly output (assets), abandonment rate (%).
  3. Click Save Baseline. You can also click Skip for now to dismiss the form without saving.

Updating your baseline

Reopen the same Baseline panel and change any field, then save again. Because a baseline is meant to be a fixed reference point from before edoro, you should only update it to correct an inaccurate original number — not to keep pace with recent performance, which would defeat the purpose of the comparison.

How comparisons show up

Cards whose metric matches a baseline field you've filled in will show an up/down arrow and a percentage change next to their current value, alongside a label indicating it's measured against your baseline. Cards with no matching baseline field, or where you left that field blank, show their current value without a comparison.
