Reviewer Coverage Risk
The Reviewer Coverage Risk card on the VR Dashboard tracks where a workflow depends heavily on a small number of reviewers. This article covers how to read the card and what it means for your team.
This is a read-only metric tile reflecting live queue state — nothing to configure.
What it measures
Reviewer Coverage Risk is the share of all currently pending approval decisions that are concentrated with your single busiest reviewer. It's calculated from the same live queue data as Reviewer Queue Depth, but instead of ranking reviewers, it asks what percentage of total pending work rests on the top one.
How to read it
- The headline number is that reviewer's share of all pending decisions, as a percentage.
- A warn marker appears at 50% concentration, and critical at 70%.
- The card names the top reviewer and shows their pending count against the total across all reviewers.
- Since this reflects current state, the card is meaningful from day one.
Why it matters
High concentration creates a single point of failure — if that reviewer is out or slow to respond, a large share of active work stalls immediately. If this card is consistently flagged, it's a sign to spread approval responsibility across more people rather than routing everything through one person.
