Content Output Volume
The Content Output Volume card on the VR Dashboard tracks how much content is being produced and reviewed over time. This article covers how to read the card and what it means for your team.
This is a read-only metric tile — it updates automatically as content moves through approval.
What it measures
Content Output Volume counts how many assets were approved per week, plotted as a rolling trend. It only counts stages that were completed with an approved outcome, so it reflects finished, accepted work rather than everything that was merely submitted.
How to read it
- The headline number is the most recent week's approved count.
- The trend line shows up to the last 12 weeks, so you can see whether output is growing, flat, or shrinking.
- The card compares the most recent 4 weeks against the prior 4 weeks: a drop of more than 15% is flagged, and a drop of more than 30% is flagged more urgently.
- The card needs at least 3 weeks of data before it shows a value.
Why it matters
A sustained decline here is a leading indicator of upstream blockages — reviewer backlogs, stalled workflows, or resourcing gaps — often visible in this card before it shows up in Project Delivery Rate.
