Text Compare action

The Text Compare automated action (listed as "Ready to text compare") compares the text content between two PDF versions of an asset and flags differences when it runs. Unlike the other default actions, it doesn't take any settings — a preset for it is just a saved, nameable reference so it can be selected consistently in a stage.

Setting it up​

  1. Go to Admin Console → Content → Actions. Under Default actions, find Ready to text compare and click Manage presets.
  2. Type a name for the preset and click Configure & save — there are no fields to fill in, so the preset saves immediately.
  3. Go to Admin Console → Content → Workflows, open the workflow, and expand the stage you want it on.
  4. Open the Actions panel, choose On stage start or On stage complete, click + Add Action, and select Ready to text compare.
  5. Choose the preset you created (or create a new one from here).
