Change Status action

The Change Status automated action ("Change Asset Status" in the actions list) automatically sets an asset's status to a status you pick, the moment the action runs. It's a default, built-in action — you can't rename or delete it — but you configure what status it sets by creating one or more presets for it.

Setting it up​

  1. Go to Admin Console → Content → Actions. Under Default actions, find Change Asset Status and click Manage presets.
  2. Type a name for the preset (e.g. "Mark as Approved") and click Configure & save.
  3. In the dialog that opens, pick the status this preset should set from the list of workspace statuses, then confirm.
  4. Go to Admin Console → Content → Workflows, open the workflow, and expand the stage you want it on.
  5. Open the Actions panel, choose On stage start or On stage complete, click + Add Action, and select Change Asset Status.
  6. Choose the preset you created (or create a new one from here) — the stage card shows the target status name once it's set.

To change which status a preset applies, reopen Manage presets and click the pencil icon on that preset to edit it.
