Archive Asset action

The Archive Asset automated action moves an asset to the archive the moment it runs. It's a default, built-in action, so it always appears in every workspace — you configure it through presets rather than editing the action itself.

Setting it up​

  1. Go to Admin Console → Content → Actions. Under Default actions, find Archive Asset and click Manage presets.
  2. Type a name for the preset and click Configure & save.
  3. In the dialog, choose whether to notify the asset owner when it's archived, and optionally enter a reason for archiving (shown wherever the archive event is logged).
  4. Go to Admin Console → Content → Workflows, open the workflow, and expand the stage you want it on.
  5. Open the Actions panel, choose On stage start or On stage complete, click + Add Action, and select Archive Asset.
  6. Choose the preset you created (or create a new one from here).

Edit a preset any time from Manage presets by clicking its pencil icon.
