Setting a project's default workflow template via chat

You can ask the assistant to set a project's default workflow template instead of using the project settings UI. This article covers doing this via chat.

What this does

Applying a workflow template to a project sets the template that new assets uploaded into that project will use going forward. It does not retroactively change the workflow on assets that are already in the project, and it doesn't give the project itself a workflow — workflows operate on individual assets, each of which is assigned a stage-based review process when it's uploaded.

Setting the template

  1. Ask the assistant what templates are available, for example: "What workflow templates do we have?" It lists the templates by name.
  2. Ask it to apply one to a project, for example: "Apply the Legal + Creative workflow to the Brand Refresh project."
  3. The assistant confirms once the template is applied.

If the project name or template name you gave matches more than one result, the assistant asks you to clarify before applying anything.

Checking or changing an asset's status

Setting a project's default template is separate from moving an individual asset through its review stages. To change where a specific asset stands, ask the assistant to update its status instead — see Finding projects, assets, and tasks by asking the assistant for listing available statuses, and ask it directly, for example: "Set the brand-logo-final asset to Approved."
