Finding projects, assets, and tasks by asking the assistant

You can ask the assistant to find a project, asset, or task instead of navigating there manually. This article covers phrasing effective search requests.

What it can look up

  • Projects — by name, or filtered to active/archived.
  • Assets — by name, optionally scoped to a specific project.
  • Task boards and tasks — boards workspace-wide or for a project, and the tasks inside a given board.
  • Workflow templates and statuses — the templates available to apply to a project, and the statuses available to set on an asset.

Phrasing a search request

  1. Open the assistant panel (see Chatting with the AI assistant).
  2. Ask in plain language, for example:
    • "Show me all active projects"
    • "Find the asset called brand-logo-final"
    • "List the task boards for the Q4 Campaign project"
    • "What workflow statuses are available?"
  3. The assistant returns a summarized list in its reply rather than raw data.

When a name matches more than one item

If your request names something by title (a project, asset, or board) and more than one result matches, the assistant lists the candidates and asks you which one you mean before doing anything further. Reply with the one you meant — by name or by picking from the list — and it continues from there.

Using a search as a first step

Searching is also how the assistant resolves names before acting. If you ask it to update or move something by name, it looks the item up first to find the right one, then performs the action — you don't need to look up an ID yourself first.
