Creating and updating tasks via chat

The assistant can create or update tasks on a board based on a chat instruction. This article covers using chat to manage tasks.

Creating a task board

Ask the assistant to create a board, optionally tying it to a project, for example:

  • "Create a task board called Launch Checklist"
  • "Create a task board called Shoot Prep for the Q4 Campaign project"

Creating a task

Ask the assistant to add a task to a board by name, with an optional description, due date, and priority (low, medium, or high), for example:

  • "Add a task to Launch Checklist called Finalize copy, due next Friday, high priority"

New tasks are added to the board's default list.

Updating a task

Ask the assistant to change a task's title, description, priority, or due date, or to mark it complete or reopen it, for example:

  • "Mark Finalize copy as complete"
  • "Change the priority of the Finalize copy task to medium"
  • "Clear the due date on the Finalize copy task"

Listing tasks on a board

Ask the assistant to list what's on a board (for example, "What tasks are on Launch Checklist?") to get a summary of each task's title, priority, due date, and completion status.
