Creating and updating projects via chat
The assistant can create or update a project on your behalf based on a chat instruction. This article covers using chat to manage projects.
Creating a project
Ask the assistant to create a project, naming it and optionally giving it a description and due date, for example:
- "Create a new project called Q4 Campaign"
- "Create a project named Brand Refresh, due September 30, for the new logo rollout"
The assistant creates the project and confirms its name in its reply.
Updating a project
Ask the assistant to change a project's name, description, or due date, referring to the project by name, for example:
- "Rename the Q4 Campaign project to Q4 Holiday Campaign"
- "Set the Brand Refresh project's due date to October 15"
If more than one project matches the name you gave, the assistant lists the matches and asks you to confirm which one before making the change.
Archiving and restoring a project
- Ask the assistant to archive a project (for example, "Archive the Brand Refresh project") to soft-remove it from the active view.
- Ask it to restore an archived project back to active at any time (for example, "Restore the Brand Refresh project").
Archiving is the closest the assistant gets to removing a project — it can't permanently delete one. See What the assistant can't do yet for details.
